Pendant que le Vancouverite court... - When the Vancouverite runs...

Dimanche c’était la Sun Run à Vancouver. 55000 fous sont allés courrir 10 kilomètres. (j’en connais quelques uns mais je ne citerai aucun nom). Pendant ce temps-là, le petit passager, le geek, deux amis et bibi sommes allés nous goinfrer de croissants à la confiture et d’autres délicatesses chez Coco et Olive, à deux pas de chez nous, sur Broadway. Bon à savoir, ils vendent des confitures Bonne Maman et des petits cornichons comme on les aime, pour aller avec le pâté et les rillettes.


Du coup, mon geek a pris une grosse resolution: attention roulement de tambour... l’année prochaine il ira lui aussi se joindre aux fous pour courrir dans la Sun Run (à savoir qu’au réveil le dimanche matin, quand la radio nous annoncait que les premiers concurrents venaient de passer la ligne d’arrivée le geek a gromelé que c’était tous des fous de se lever de si bonne heure pour aller courrir un dimanche matin…) Donc deux resolutions: lui va se mettre au sport et je vais arrêter d’engloutir des baguettes avec de la tapenade et du fromage de chèvre. Promis, on s’en reparle dans un an…


Sunday was one of the highlights of Vancouver sporting events, the Vancouver Sun Run. Some 55000 people ran a 10 kilometer marathon though the city. (I know some of them, who are understandably sore this morning...). In the meantime, the little passenger, the geek, two friends and I were brunching at Coco et Olive, on Broadway, stuffing ourselves with delicious croissants and strawberry jam. Good to know, they sell Bonne Maman jams and little pickles to have with your pâté and rillettes.

My geek took a big decision this sunday. Next year, he will be running in the Sun Run as well. (When we woke up on Sunday morning, he was complaining that people had to be crazy to wake up so early to g and run...). So two big resolutions: he will get back to sport and I will stop eating whole baguettes with goat cheese and tapenade...
